The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) National Eligibility Test (NET) for JRF and Lectureship/ Assistant professor in June 2022.
What is CSIR NET?
CSIR covers a broad spectrum of science and technology – from oceanography, biotechnology, geophysics, chemicals, drugs, environmental engineering, genomics, and nanotechnology to mining, aeronautics, instrumentation, and information technology.
CSIR provides Information about the health, drinking water, food, environment, energy, housing, farm, and non-farm sectors, etc.
CSIR and partnership of the University of Grants Commission (UGC) provide Research Fellowships training under faculty members/scientists who work in universities/ colleges in various science fields.
The Joint CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) will be conducted for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship. Every Year Joint CSIR UGC NET contacts two exams one in June and Another in December.

Step-1: Registration for online form submission using Email ID and Mobile Number.
Step-2: Fill out the Application form with where the requirement of the candidate's address, parents' name, Education qualifications, and identity proof with the photo, Signature, and Passport size of the candidate.
Step-3: Exam fee payment using payment gateway: Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card and UPI
Who can Apply for CSIR NET?
Eligibility: Essential Educational Qualifications for Joint CSIR UGC NET Exam June 2022 is M.Sc. or equivalent degree.
B.Sc. (Hons.) or equivalent degree students enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program with at least 55%^ marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and OBC candidates; 50%^ marks for SC/ST, Third gender, and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates are also eligible to apply.
Note: Candidates how only Bachelor’s degrees are eligible to apply only for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and not for Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor.
And B.Sc. (Hons.) final year/without released Result candidates are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit
- SC/ST/Third gender/Persons/PwD)/female Candidate: Maximum (28+5) years as of 01/07/2021. This is the age relaxation up to 5 years.
- OBC candidate: Maximum (28+3) years as of 01/07/2021. This is the age relaxation up to 3 years.

Q.4. Why CSIR NET is important?
Ans: Due to the covid-19 pandemic situation NTA could not conduct in the previous year. CSIR NET June 2021 Exam was conducted in April 2022. NTA announced the Examination of CSIR NET June 2022 on the date of notification 11/07/2022. We clearly see that The examination of CSIR NET in December 2021 will be canceled. NTA does not mention December NET. That is why This exam is very very important for CSIR aspirants.
